Year went without recognition, Kosovo asks Nepal for recognition

Kosovo's ambassador to Bangladesh, Guner Ureya, has called for Kosovo's recognition by Nepal. He in an interview with the Himalalyan Times has said that recognising Kosovo is important for peace and stability in the Balkan Peninsula, “Independence of the Republic of Kosovo enabled the people of Kosovo to achieve major successes in a period [...]
“The independence of the Republic of Kosovo enabled the people of Kosovo to achieve major successes in a brief 14-year period. Therefore, as a peace - loving country, it is very important that Nepal and the Nepalese people know Kosovo”, he has said.
“Hopefully Nepal will officially recognise Kosovo as soon as possible and that Nepal's flag silhouette will be reflected in the Kosovo government building with the words “Thank you Nepal””, the ambassador said.
He spoke of the possibilities for co-operation between Kosovo and Nepal.
There are numerous possibilities and possibilities for co-operation between the two countries. The relations we have developed with Bangladesh in the last five years can serve as an example for our future relations with Nepal. After the establishment of diplomatic relations with Bangladesh, agreements and trade, cultural, educational co-operation and human interactions were initiated. We can do the same with Nepal”
Ureya has also been promoted for Kosovo's relations with Serbia. He said the Serbian state is trying to destabilise Kosovo, until he added that Kosovo is the “seat of its people, Kosovo Albanians, Bosniaks, Serbs, Turks and others”.
In fact, these efforts are harmful to all. About 98 percent of Kosovo's people are determined to defend the country's territorial integrity. Two percent of the population manipulated by Serbia at this stage will sooner or later understand the facts and fully integrate into Kosovo society. Kosovo will never be Serbia. Kosovo is a country of its own people, Kosovo Albanians, Bosniaks, Serbs, Turks and others. Of course, we continue our dialogue with Belgrade on normalising relations. It should not be forgotten, however, that the aim of the dialogue is to ensure normalisation of relations between the two sovereign countries”, it has indicated.
He said that sooner or later Serbia and Kosovo will recognise each other.
The next day we'll know each other and that day will be a very beautiful”, he said.
