Pristina Mayor Progress Rama says they have invested more than any other municipality in resolving the problem with wandering dogs.
“We have invested tenfold more than any government so far, central or municipal level, we have done everything within the law to solve the problem of stray dogs”.
“We have created the first shelter in the country, which is at the bottom of Hevali, we've divided 10 hectares for park animals with a focus for stray dogs, we've created room for feeding stray dogs to drop aggression, we've got seven different companies working in capture, inoculation, sterilization, sterilizing dogs” Rama said.
Rama, in Rubikko in Klan Kosova, said the problem of wandering dogs can only be solved if other municipalities and the central level are involved because of dog movement from city to city.
“But these are insufficient if all other municipalities and the central level are not involved, because dogs are coming from other municipalities, we are doing our best to solve” Rama said.
