Public Officials Law Adopted

The Kosovo Assembly at the 22 December session has adopted the Law for Public Officials. A total of 62 MPs voted for this bill, 58 were in favour, while four were abstentions. A total of 62 MPs voted for this bill, 58 were in favour, while four were abstentions.
The opposition received considerable criticism of the bill.
PDK GP chief Abelard Tahiri has declared he will not participate in the draft vote for public officials.
That is because they believe that the same person basically violates the work of public administration and seriously damages it.
Meanwhile, AAK Parliamentary Group chief Besnik Tahiri has said that with the bill for public officials, meritis essentially being buried in public employment.
While LDK deputy Driton Selmanaj has said the LDK expresses its concerns about the approach of this government in proportion to 80 thousand people working in the Kosovo administration.
