Last night the chief of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Petar Petkovovic, said Serbia “would consider sending its 1,000 security forces to Kosovo. Petkovic made his comments a few hours after Kosovo police announced that it has increased its presence in northern Kosovo, a Serb-run part. [...]
After that, Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq has published photos with the Serbian army chiefs.
He has provoked the social network “Instagram”, where he said there is no surrender.
“We met with Defence Minister Milos Vucevic and Chief General Milan Mosjilovic, there is no surrender”, he wrote.
Tensions in the northern part of Kosovo, where local elections are expected to be held in four municipalities, are on the rise.
On December 6th, there have also been incidents of firearms, as groups of Serbian citizens did not allow the Kosovo Central Election Commission to enter its offices.
