Police: The situation in the north is fragile. The Jarinje border points are still closed today.

Kosovo police have come up with an announcement concerning the situation in northern Kosovo, where roads continue to be blocked because of barricades imposed by Serbs. Police have said that blocking roads by criminal groups in the country's north, armed and disorienting (sok bombs) attacks on the Kosovo Police, attacks with shocks on journalists and EULEX surveillance patrol has strained the situation in the country's north and managed to free the movement of citizens and cargo at two points of border crossings, Jarinje and Brnjak.
Unfortunately, these attacks have not recorded any injuries to citizens or official persons. While roadblocks continue today in the direction of two Jarinje and Brnjak border crossings, Kosovo Police have announced as a precautionary measure of security has temporarily closed these two border crossings, which continue to be closed even today”, the report said.
The KK emphasises that a fragile situation has continued even at night, which continues to be so today, so Kosovo Police on official duty are vigorously continuing its commitments with police units, in offering security to all non-discreet citizens, in the interest of maintaining order and public security, and bringing the justice of suspected persons involved in criminal activities.
“At the same time through this official announcement the Kosovo Police, announce public opinion and expose some Serbian media that refer to whether the special unit of the KP, to Wyman, has banned and abused a Serbian citizen/worker and allegedly received objects at that location”, the statement said.
Kosovo police with their own units have been placed on the main road leading to the Brnjak border point, and it has not been placed in any particular object as well as it has not abused any people or employees, as published in the media, but has only legitimized a person who has been conducting telephone recordings at that location, who after the legitimacy has continued without any problems.
“Precisely in this location last night criminal groups have fired three cases against police units that have been on official duty, which, in self-defense, have been forced to react with firearms to persons/or criminal groups”, the report said.
Kosovo police, have invited the media and citizens not to fall prey to disinformation, calls or provocations possible by persons or criminal groups, but to co-operate with the Kosovo Police, which will continue to commit to offering security to all citizens without differences, bringing the justice bodies of suspected persons to justice, as well as maintaining the Constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo.
