Police confirm incidents in the north: Suspected of Bombings and Gunshots

According to the PK, there are also suspected of gunfire and explosions, but up to this point there are no injuries, as reportedly the offices of the Municipal Elections Commission have been abolished.

Kosovo police, under official duty and legal authorisations, are constantly engaged in providing security, maintaining order and public calm, as well as undertaking comfortable police measures situation and developments across the country, including developments in northern Mitrovica.
The Central Election Commission (KQZ), based on the Constitution and the laws of the country, has also applied to the Kosovo Police for assistance over preparations for holding local elections in northern municipalities.
In this case, Kosovo Police announce public opinion about security developments in the country's north that today, on December 6th, 2022, in municipalities Zubin Potok and North Mitrovica, public order police units have accompanied election commission officials to the offices of the municipal electoral commission, located in municipalities Zubin Potok and North Mitrovica with the goal of carrying out their legal duties and competencies.
In the early hours of today's afternoon, several areas of Zubin Potok and North Mitrovica have recorded several incidents (illusion of arms and explosions), but thus far no injuries were reported from those incidents, as reportedly protesters have damaged the offices of the municipal electoral commission.
Kosovo police consistently forward and assess the security situation in the country and take necessary measures to implement the law and decisions of Kosovo state authorities.
