Dejan Pantic's lawyer, Nebojsa Vlasic, has confirmed to Radio Free Europe that his client has been replaced with house arrest.
"[Kosovo] police are obliged to transfer Patiqi to the address where he lives”, he said.
Pantic, former Kosovo police officer, was arrested on December 10th at the Jarinje border checkpoint. According to Kosovo authorities, he is suspected of body “terrorist attack”December 6th with Central Election Commission officials.
Pantic's arrest prompted the establishment of barricades in northern Kosovo. Barricades were established by some local Serbs, blocking roads leading to two border crossings -- Jarinje and Brnjak -- connecting Kosovo with Serbia.
Due to the establishment of the barricades, authorities have confirmed that Pantic is being held at a police station near Jarinje. Kosovo has called for the help of the European Union's mission to Kosovo for the End of Law (EULEX) for the transfer of Pantic.
EULEX has told Radio Free Europe on December 23rd that it is still considering the possibility of assistance in the transfer of Pantic.
The Serbian list ʹ the main party of Serbs in Kosovo has presented some conditions for removing the barricades, and one of them has said it is also the release of arrested Serbs.
