Official: Court blocks Kurt's decision to cut salaries for prosecutors, judges

Pristina's Constitutional Court has announced that it has accepted the Kosovo Prosecutor's Association's indictment against the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the prime minister's office, respectively, and has decided to postpone the Kosovo government's decision to cut salaries against judges and prosecutors. The decision on lowering salaries under the Court's decision will not be executed until the court decided on a final court ruling in terms of the prosecution of the Association of Prosecutors.

The Foundation Court in Pristina, the Department for Administrative Affairs, dated 29.11.2022, has accepted the indictment with no. 2767/2022 Where the plaintiff is the Association of Kosovo Prosecutors, while indicted is the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Office of the Prime Minister in Pristina, with which it has sought to annul the 03/109 verdict of the date 23.11.2022, issued by ignorance, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Office of the Prime Minister, with the request to set out temporary measures towards the indictee, respectively, to postpone the execution of the same decision until the merit of this issue in the administrative conflict.
The court, dated 02.12.2022, has taken a decision with which it has approved the prosecution's proposal, the Kosovo Prosecutor's Association, as based and has postponed the execution of the 03/109 verdict of the indictment's 23.11.2022, Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Office of the Prime Minister, until the court decides with a final court ruling, concerning the prosecution's request.
