Early in November, the mayors of four municipalities in the north, coming from the ranks of the Serbian List, but even mayors of municipal congregations and asmblists, resigned.
New astronauts, according to the Central Election Commission's decision, will replace the asmavists of the Serbian List, who surrendered.
The Office for Kosovo in the Serbian Government has reacted after the oath of new asmblists, charging that Albanians “with legal strength and unilateral movement received” seats in the Municipal Assembly.
“This way [Kosovo Prime Minister Albin] Kurti is trying to create a clean Albanian monoethnic municipality in northern Kosovo”, the office's response reported.
Serbian officials had resigned as a sign of dissatisfaction with a Kosovo Government decision regarding reregistering cars with license plates issued by Serbia.
But, meanwhile, Kosovo and Serbia, with the European Union's mediation, reached an agreement on license plates.
