The current situation in northern Mitrovica continues to be calm, independenceally, that barricades are still located in this part by local Serbs.

Roads were blocked Saturday following the announcement of a former police member under suspicion of involvement in the attack on Central Election Commission officials and police officials during the week, while preparations were being made for municipal elections in the north, which were contested by Belgrade-backed Serb representatives.
Today the United States envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, has met in Pristina with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti. In communities issued by these institutions it is said that Kosovo leaders have talked with Escobar about the need for immediate removal of barricades. /Periksopi/
