The current situation in northern Mitrovica continues to be calm, independenceally, that barricades are still located in this part by local Serbs.

During the present day, only the drugstores and ovens have worked there.

Roads were blocked Saturday following the announcement of a former police member under suspicion of involvement in the attack on Central Election Commission officials and police officials during the week, while preparations were being made for municipal elections in the north, which were contested by Belgrade-backed Serb representatives.

In communities issued by these institutions it is said that Kosovo leaders have talked with Escobar about the need for immediate removal of barricades. /Periksopi/
