The Netherlands launches sanctions against Serbia: That is the decision he has made

On 8 December, the Netherlands House of Representatives adopted a resolution calling on its government to lobby to Brussels for the temporary suspension of the visa-free regime for Serbia, if Serbia does not comply with EU foreign policy. The proposal had the backing of the ruling coalition and opposition deputies. He surrendered [...]
The proposal had the backing of the ruling coalition and opposition deputies. He was handed over by MPs from the two largest parties in the ruling coalition -- Yeoren van Wijgaarden from the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and the Democrats 66. However, the proposal was initiated by opposition representative Jasper Van Dijk from the Socialist Party (PS).
MP Jerorn van Wiingarden said on Twitter that his proposal received the backing of the Dutch Parliament House of Representatives.
The House of Representatives supports our proposal for a stricter approach to Serbia if President Vucic does not support sanctions against Russia. Cutting off Serbia's EU accession process could become an option. We will not hesitate to use it”, Van Wijgaarden said.
A day before the start of the resolution in parliament, State Secretary for Justice and Security Eric van der Prison answered Van Wijgaarden's parliamentary questions about increasing migration through Serbia. He said the government <x0ndins the concern of European Commissioner Johansson for increasing flow through Serbia and sees the need to challenge the flow through the Western Balkans”, but also welcomes steps taken by Serbia in terms of harmonisation with EU visa policy and will continue to monitor the development of the situation and exert pressure if necessary.
In the Netherlands' institutional system, Parliament has the mandate to give government instructions for foreign policy development. For example, when the Netherlands blocked opening negotiations with Albania, the initiative came from parliament, reports European Western Balkans. The decision is also found in the Netherlands House of Representatives.
