Greek authorities follow investigations to whiteen Sunday's event.
Kreshnik Cerchizaj, 41, was left dead in the country, and Armando Organya passed away in hospital after the wounds suffered. They were shot by a masked man who entered the bar in the center of Nea Smyrni Square.
According to OPEN's information, police have been watching the footage from the street security cameras where the author enters the bar. After going to the scene, he stayed out for a very short time to find his target before entering the cafe and quietly executing the two men.
Execution was a “message” among gangs
Authorities estimate that behind the assassination lies a set of accounts and that the author belongs to a gang that wanted to send a message to its rival by killing the victims. As far as motive is concerned, it seems to be about drugs. According to information, the execution of two Albanians is located within the country. The leading informers are the people in prison, since the victim had previously been in prison in Korydallo.
Prison execution order?
It is not excluded from the order being given from within an Albanian cell. Authorities estimate there has also been an associate who may have been sitting in the killing cafe and has been informing the gunman.
