Movement for the Union calls for entry in Eastern Kosovo dialogue by “definition of border”

The “in recent months the political temperature about dialogue, which mostly warms the north, has risen greatly. The main question of this moment, which is put on again, is: is the peaceful solution possible, or is there force needed to intervene in the north of the country to exercise sovereignty?

The LB says that the Republic of Kosovo should not stop seeking opportunities for Eastern Kosovo to find the solution that it deserves, and with that lasting peace.

Political subjects, and especially the government, should strictly evaluate political conflicts, with particular international emphasis, especially when they are part of those conflicts.

Recall that political organizations that engaged in militant organization in the last decade of the last century invited people to war for freedom and to advance that war. But they did so after the historical and actual analysis of the state of time, which led to the conclusions that war is necessary if we are to gain freedom; and inevitable, because of circumstances. So the call for combat organization, though painful for the price to be paid, was right and, with the help of friends, proved to be also successful.

As a result of that war, in 2008 The Republic of Kosovo was declared independent. However, even before 2008, as yet, the country's north is not governed by the Government of Kosovo.

In recent months the political temperature about dialogue, which most heats up the north, has risen greatly. The main question of this moment, which is now renewed, is: Is the peaceful solution possible, or is it necessary by force to intervene in the north of the country to exercise sovereignty?

Of course, we must always prepare and best to respond to situations that can also lead to armed conflicts. But this readiness does not harm the assessment and clear and vocal declaration that the current situation in the country's north -- and generally the unresolved issue between Kosovo and Serbia -- is political issues and that it can be resolved by peaceful agreement. This readiness and political vision today are in line with the international circumstances and with the approach that Kosovo's leading international partners have. And after that assessment and declaration, politics will be strongly and sincerely engaged in this solution.
