Frank Lambard found out he'd been looking for Erling Haaland while he was a Chelsea coach.
The English coach presented himself this Friday at a press conference, the day before the match against Manchester City in Premierliga.
Lamard, who now heads Everton, spoke of the main attacker of “citizens” and the island's best goalist, Erling Haaland.
Among other things, he discovered that he had wanted to sign with the Norwegian attacker, then part of RB Salzburg.
“He is a wonderful player and the last high-level players in general can do what he does in a high-level league. I trained against him in a pre-sezonal match when he played for Salzburg. I tried to sign it with him at Chelsea's, but it didn't happen”, he said.
