Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has spoken about the situation in northern Kosovo.

Kurti in an interview for the German newspaper “Spiegel” said the tense situation in these areas is the cause of panic by Belgrade.

He said Aleksandar Vuciq is willing to return Serbia as in the past, but this train has already fled, thus referring to the demand for the return of 1,000 Serb soldiers to Kosovo.

Kosovo Government chief stressed that this demand is ridiculous.

“It seems that Vuciqi wants to turn Serbia into the past. But this train is gone. The International Court of Justice has ruled in favour of our declaration of independence. There is no higher court on this planet”, Kurti said.

“The European Union and the US are putting great pressure on Serbia to choose between democratic West and Russia”, he stressed.
