Kurti after suspension of the decision to cut salaries: They are effective when it comes to self

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has commented on the Constitutional Court's decision in Pristina, with which the Government's decision to cut salaries for judges and prosecutors has been suspended. After a visit to Hendikos on the notice of International Day of Restricted Persons, before the media, Kurti said it was not about judicial decisions, [...]

After a visit to Hendikos on the footnote of the International Day of Restricted Persons, before the media, Kurti said he didn't deal with the decisions of the judiciary, but that, according to him, when it comes to himself, the judiciary turns out to be very efficient and fast, unlike the countless things they are waiting for in the drawers of the Palace of Justice, reports “The Justice Trust “.

We can't handle the decisions that the judiciary made, but I have to regret that when it comes to itself, they're going to be very efficient, unlike the countless substances that have been dusted in the drawers of the Palace of Justice, which are liquefying there and not treat them in time or properly. So, it is a shame that speed and efficiency are witnessing when they have self-interest, close interest“, the prime minister said.

He further said that when people are taught with privileges, their removal seems to be unjust, but he feels that it is not injustice but that privileges have been unfair.

“Paxes in the public sector in general will be adjusted to these two new laws that have already gone to the first-reading site is the Law on Salaries and Public Officials, so it is imperative that we all focus on these two new laws and not seek any privileged solutions. My strong conviction from what is happening these days with the strike of judges and prosecutors is that when people are taught by privileges, their removal seems unfair, but that does not mean it is injustice, it means that privileges have been unfair”, Kurti said.

Otherwise, the Constitutional Court in Pristina, after accepting the indictment by the Kosovo Prosecutors' Association, has approved the provisional move for suspending the government's decision to cut salaries for judges and prosecutors.

The Founding Court in Pristina, Department of Administrative Affairs, dated 29.11.2022, has accepted an indictment with no. 2767/2022 Where the plaintiff is the Association of Kosovo Prosecutors, while indicted is the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Office of the Prime Minister in Pristina, with which it has sought to annul the 03/109 verdict of the date 23.11.2022, issued by ignorance, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Office of the Prime Minister, with the request to set out temporary measures against the indictee, respectively, to postpone the execution of the same decision, until the merit of this issue in the administrative conflict”, the court has announced.

On November 29th, the Constitutional Court in Pristina had accepted the indictment by the Kosovo Prosecutors' Association towards the Government of Kosovo, following the decision made by the latter to cut salaries against judges and prosecutors.

According to the report, the court has taken the decision with which it has approved the prosecution's proposal, the Kosovo Prosecutors' Association, as based and has postponed the execution of the 03/109 verdict of the indictment's 23.11.2022, Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Office of the Prime Minister, until the court decides with a final judicial ruling, in terms of the indictment's prosecution's request.
