The wage law was very good to be passed on to the Kosovo Assembly along with the Law for Public Officials. We have taken time, perhaps more than we would have desired, but no more than necessary. We want to prepare well for the laws not to end up falling into courts, so even in view of the sad experience when we first tried, we needed a time like this the longest”.
Prime Minister Kurti also announced when the salaries will be received, under the new law and the value of the budget that was set aside for these salaries.
February 1st <x0m> goes into effect, the total wage budget total is 745m euros. To us the starting point is complete. So we've had as a starting point the cofficiency, but the whole budget. In January, this will certainly be decided, and after 1 February, wages will begin with the Law of Salaries”.
Meanwhile, for setting the value of the cofficiency, he said it would happen in January next year.
“We can't determine the cofficiency in the Law of Salaries because it relates to the budget and we will do it in January. You're looking approximately today on December 24th, I'm looking for some patience from you and not approximately, but exactly January 2023”.
