Krasniqi: Vetting has to happen, unclear why it's late

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has spoken about the process of vetoing.

Krasniqi said there is no clear reason why such an important process for the justice system is being delayed.

He even said his party's proposals have been taken into account, even said the prime minister has given support for the process.

The property process must occur. We've been supporting it since. I have met the prime minister and given him support for a process that should take place in the Kosovo Assembly. The proposals we have given as the Democratic Party of Kosovo are well understood and accepted, and today the property file is found in the Kosovo Assembly”.

I don't know why they're late and why they're reluctant to start this process. Vetting is a process that can distinguish against inefficiency, not competence. But such a thing should happen in a structured legal process, Constitutional, as we have proposed through vetoing the Kosovo Assembly not with other measures affecting the independence of the justice system”, Krasniqi said. /eo
