Krasniqi doubts there may be secret agreement for Pantiqi: Kurt will tell if he was involved

Krasniqi said this decision could be linked to a secret government agreement in order to remove barricades in the north.

According to him, if there is such a thing, then the government should reason on this decision, adding that Prime Minister Albin Kurti does not need to hide, but should be honest with citizens.

He adds that the decision for Pantiqi is extremely confusing, given that it is accused of terrorism.

The “belongs to the Government to go out and explain whether it was involved in something like this, because what was discussed fully over the last days that Government must be reconciled with the release of the Pantiq detainees in house arrest in order to remove the barricades. If this is a hidden agreement the government has made, it is good to show us to reason on this decision”, he said.

“Although in Kosovo power are divided, the Government should not pretend to interfere with judicial decisions. It's a little weird because I haven't read the indictment, but if it's said to be charged with terrorism, home arrest is confused, it's asking points and I'm not sure it can come without some kind of political support. If this support has come from Kurt's side he doesn't need to hide he needs to be honest with citizens and come out to reason whether he was involved in one form or another in this” decision, he said.

Krasniqi, commenting on recent developments in the country, has said the situation in the north is only worsening, which is due to the government's wrong decisions.

He said concern for him is the situation of Albanian citizens of that part, as he said in communications he had with Albanian residents they are feeling frightened.

The situation in the country's north is quite disturbing, unfortunately in almost three weeks there has not been an improvement, but rather it has gone by getting worse. My first concern primarily concerns citizens there because the security level has gone down and in all the communication we have with Albanian residents, especially, we see there is an increase of fear and normally we regret if this situation is not resolved immediately”, he said.

Krasniqi said the Government and the Presidency have a lack of focus on the issue and that removing the barricades should be their first priority.

He stressed that this should be done in co-ordination with internationals, but that cannot be expected to indefinitely.

The “I have disagreeed that there has been a lack of even the necessary focus on the part of the government, because such a situation for the country's prime minister, but even for the president there can be no other priority, but the priority should be to return the highest level of normality in the north of the country and set up barricades if it turns into a new reality as it is happening, becoming our everyday I see it as a situation from which it is difficult to go back to where we want<1x>

The barricades on the part of criminal groups are located -- this is unconfrontable -- these criminal groups are clearly controlled by the highest levels of leadership in Serbia. So even at first we've addressed the international partners. I know there have been commitments also by international mediator”, he said.

There are no RKS license plates in the north today, there are no functioning Kosovo institutions, there is no integration of local Serbs, there are no elections which were once proclaimed, and then the government and the presidency withdrew from holding them. But what has the barricades, so the situation has gone by getting worse and it's combining the mistakes and nationality of our government. I believe co-ordination with the international factor is necessary, but it can't be the only way if there's no progress. We also had barricades in 2018, there were also in 2011, and those barricades were given by the Government of Kosovo. And today, even though it may be the last decision I have to make is a decision that should not be excluded from”, he told EO.
