The distribution companies throughout Kosovo have been banned from broadcasting films from this platform on the grounds that they do not possess the right to retransmitt.

At the KPM, they have said it is a temporary stop, but have not indicated how long it will last.

“U announce that the KPM has accepted a complaint regarding retransmitting rights on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, for certain films.

After reviewing the complaint, The KKPM has found that distribution operators carry on their platform films for which they do not possess the right to retransmitting on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. Therefore, operators have been instructed to bring to the KPM agreements regarding film retransmitting rights. Until the security of agreements in question, operators must act in accordance with the KPM's Constitution and General License Terms, leaving the platform with no right to retransmission. So KKPM didn't stop the DigitAlb platform, because it continues to be broadcast, but movies for which retransmitting rights were not secured, as explained above”, said of Periscope, Education High Public Relations Dress.

DigitAlb is the Albanian digital land and satellite platform, which has been present in Kosovo for over 15 years in co-operation with nearly all distribution operators. /Periscopi/
