Police said they are dealing with these cases with “seriosity”.

The past “Days have had information, reports and publication in the media concerning the kidnapping, beating and mistreatment of several Serbian citizens by members of criminal structures in the northern part of the Republic of Kosovo”, the Kosovo Police report was told.

Police did not disclose how many people were allegedly kidnapped or mistreated and when these incidents occurred.

However, police forces said tensions in Kosovo's Serb-run north require the establishment of police capacities to manage the security situation and prevent the <x0 criminal activities”.
