Through a media report, The PK announced that in self-defense, police units have been forced to respond with firearms to criminal groups who have fled in the unknown direction.
“Persons from certain criminal groups that have carried out the blocking of several roads north of the country, from different locations, have fired guns in three cases towards police units which have been on official duty in the vicinity of the Weyman Lake feather, on the road leading towards the Brnjak Border Point.
Police units, in self-defence, have been forced to respond with weapons of fire to the persons/crime groups who have been pushed back and removed in an unknown direction. Also based on information provided by police units on the ground, in several different locations, there were also heard gunshots at”.
Police announced that there is no information so far about any injured persons or damage caused.
“So far there is no official information about any injured person or possible damage caused. Kosovo police remain committed to carrying out legal duties and authorisations in the interest of preserving public security and constitutional order”.
