The government has ordered its citizens to take a solemn reflection stance on the life of current leader Kim Jong Un, who died on December 17th 2011.
“No one should drink alcohol or enjoy singing or drinking alcohol during the memory of Kim Jong II”, a resident of Ryanggang's northern province said on condition of anonymity for security reasons.
Moreover, people must lower their tone of voice or avoid major events in life, such as birthday ceremonies, weddings, funerals, and even ceremonies to commemorate dead relatives.
