KFOR: Barricades to be removed quickly, if necessary, we can intervene

“KFOR welcomes last night's decision to remove barricades in northern Kosovo”, said the communique.
KFOR has said that removing the barricades should take place quickly and safely, avoiding any kind of incident or danger.
Meanwhile, they have said they remain vigilant and could intervene if necessary based on their mandate.
“All sides should avoid any rhetoric or action that could cause further escalation. KFOR is closely monitoring developments. We remain extremely vigilant and willing to intervene, if necessary, in line with our mandate based on 1999 Resolution 1244”, the communique concludes.
