Kosovo is still not producing energy to meet the country's needs. At KEK, they are producing with those capacities in place, while in KEDs say they are receiving from KEK around 850 MgW, while consumption is reaching 1200 MgW.
Energy security can happen from the power storage that has been made during the summer, as well as market buying. The good news is that the price of energy from 500 euros megawatts has dropped to 260 this week.
Electricity production in Kosovo is going over 800 MWh, but this capacity doesn't cover consumption in the country, that's what it said. RTK an official for media in KED.
“We have a supply of stable electricity in Kosovo. Local production is reaching 850 MgW per hour, while consumption is reaching 1200 MgW an hour, the rest is being imported. Depending on the time import changes, but on average we have an import at the peak time of over 200 Over the hour”, says Lulelim Krasniqi, a media official in KED.
Krasniqi says the price of energy in international stock exchanges has also dropped recently.
The “is actually 260 for the MGh, compared to last week that was 500 euros”, he said.
At the Kosovo Energy Corporation, they said they have made all preparations for production units to meet the winter.
Part of the energy to cover the country's needs, KEK has received it from Albania, in compensation for the energy Kosovo has provided during the summer.
Kosovo's energy corporation Conform and license that operates with four production units -- two of Kosova A units and two of Kosova B units -- while one entity usually stands as a reserve. Currently, we are working with three units, with two of Kosovo B and one of Kosovo A, unit A3 we have stopped to make an update”, Bucolli said.
For energy production capacities from wind to Kosovo, RTK has also tried to contact the Ministry of Economy, but has not responded.
