The former prime minister of the United Kingdom said the end of the war is “in the interest of all, including Russia”. Johnson continues to remain a vocal supporter of Ukraine's efforts since leaving office in September.
His successor, Rishi Sunak, who visited Kiev last month, has pledged to continue supporting the United Kingdom for Ukraine.
“War can only end in one way. It's in everyone's interest, including Russia, to get the curtain down as soon as possible. Not in 2025, not 2024, but in 2023,” said the former British prime minister.
Johnson also warned that next winter may be even more difficult than this, as gas supplies are scarce in countries that once depended on Russian fuel.
