Italian top diplomat warns a conference for the Balkans: There are many tensions between Kosovo and Serbia

Italy's Foreign Minister Antonio Tayan has said that in January he will organise a kind of Italian conference for the Balkans in Trieste to prepare “a set of political initiatives”.

Tatjan in an interview for Skytg24 said there are many tensions between Kosovo and Serbia.

There is a lot of tension between Kosovo and Serbia, we are trying to do everything that the situation does not escalate”, he has said.

“are a thousand Italian soldiers at the border who guarantee stability and peace and are valued by Serbs and Kosovars”, the Italian minister has added.

Tayan underlined that “Italy wants to be protagonistic, as these are territories close to our borders and as part of Europe”.
