Hoxhaj thinks Kurti and Osmani forget that Kosovo has been declared independent state

Former deputy prime minister and former Kosovo diplomat Enver Hoxhaj says one of the responsible persons for avoiding the escalation of the situation in the country's north is US Ambassador Jeff Hovenier.

He made these statements as he spoke of the importance of international partners in protecting the country's sovereignty.

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP on the “show Republic” in Tv1 estimated that the prime minister, Albin Kurti and president Vjosa Osmani, in the event they are not aware of the Kosovo state's path towards independence.

“I think that American international partners are extremely determined to defend Kosovo's sovereignty, and if there is a man who has had great credit not to scale the flight north of the country, to protect Kosovo as an American investment I think is US Ambassador Jeff Havenier. I don't know how many Prime Minister Kurti, president Osmani can understand correctly. Sometimes they don't know how this country was declared independent of how it was built as an independent country of what happened in the negotiations in Vienna, Rambouillet has no memory and experience”, he said in Tvve1.

According to him, if Kurt were to listen to the U.S. ambassador delay in the decision on the license plates, the situation would be another one in the north of the country.

I think that the American ambassador was a man who in a very critical situation for the country has supported Kosovo not to escalate the situation in the north and if Kurti were to hear it at the end of August, the beginning of September would probably be another situation in the north<1>, he added.

He even estimates that current power is convinced that exercising the country's sovereignty cannot be done without partnership with internationals.
