According to Hill, during January the first efforts will begin.
We must first overcome this crisis, not let bad things happen, not tolerate violence, not let people get hurt. What's important in negotiations is I've been part of them many times is to use the moment towards a political solution. And I think we'll see an effort in this direction in January, when everyone comes back from vacation. I think we'll see a lot of activity with an effort to take political steps in the dialogue process to move forward”, Hill said in an interview for the Serbian edition. Euronews.
For normalising Kosovo-Serbia relations through dialogue, Hill has said there will be efforts by the EU as well as the US.
The “will depend on the mediator's skills, but also on the very capabilities of negotiators, who should think about what this crisis brings. So to think that by being in crisis, they will have investors. Investors are usually not interested in going to states where there is permanent crisis”, he has declared.
Even the European Union's Special Envoy for Kosovo talks, Miroslav Lajcak, has said that efforts to find a solution will not stop, claiming that March 2023 is the deadline for reaching an agreement.
