Through a post in Twitter Rohde, he said that this work was supported by Germany.
“We thank the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs for offering housing to Kosovo for five journalists from Afghanistan with Germany's backing in co-operation with partner AGK and EPCPMF” Rohde wrote.
The ambassador further confirmed that the move presents contributions to journalists' safety and press freedom.
“Significant support for the protection of press freedom, tangible contribution to journalists' security and clear commitment to our common values. Grateful for this important co-operation in challenging times”, he added.
Kosovo has offered refuge to journalists from Ukraine as well.
