One of the richest people in the world, Bill Gates, has warned that our <x0 users will grow into a dramatically worse world” if climate change “is not fixed”. He also stressed what he thinks will be the hardest thing to do for humanity, writes CNBC.
He wrote what the world will be like as a result of climate change in his blog after he found out he would become a grandfather.
In the last few days, I started to look at the world from a new perspective when my big girl gave me the incredible news that I'm going to be a grandpa next year. I'm just writing about becoming a grandfather next year. This thought gives a new dimension to my actions. When I think of the world in which my grandchildren will be born, more than ever before I am inspired to help children and grandchildren of all to have the opportunity to survive and thrive”, 67-year-old Gates, who is one of the founders of Microsoft Company, said.
Among other things, Gates stressed what kind of world future generations will live in will depend on world leaders' response to climate change.
“Climate change resolution can be summed up in two sentences: We have to eliminate global greenhouse emissions by 2050. The extreme weather is already causing more suffering and if we don't get to zero emissions, our grandchildren will grow into a dramatically worse world”, he stressed.
According to him, reaching zero prices will be the hardest thing people have ever done.
