The laying of eggs in Kosovo does not stop. The largest price increase has been observed in the last days of this month.
This price increase appears to have been made as “gift” for Kosovo citizens on the eve of the holiday end of the year.
A set of eggs on brands in Pristina is currently being traded at 4 euros and 49 cents -- the highest price ever reached for this product since price expensive has begun.
According to the Kosovo Statistics Agency award (ASK), just two days earlier, a set of eggs has been sold for 4 euros and 29 cents.
Price increases this week have been noted in several other articles, but according to the latest update of prices from the ASS of basic products, it is noted that the largest price movement these days has only been on the eggs.
The Statistics Agency in monthly publishings this year has shown that prices for basic food products in Kosovo have marked great growth. And inflation has reached 14 percent.
The <x0) monthly inflation measured by the harmonised consumer price index was 1.4% in June 2022. The annual inflation rate measured in June 2022 with June 2021 was 14,1%”, followed by Democracy, highlighted in the ASS report.
Price increases have taken nearly all the basic products from bread, oil, sugar, flour to trees and vegetables. But what was inflation like in the last eight years?
In 2014, inflation (the consumer price index) was 0.4 percent. In 2015, inflation was 0.4 percent. In 2016 it was 0. 3 percent. In 2017 it was 1, 5 percent. In 2018 it was 1.1 percent. In 1019 it was 2, 7 percent. By 2020 it had dropped to zero, 2 percent. By 2021 it was registered at 3, 4 percent.
