EULEX in the communiqué sent to the media notes that this attack and other attacks on Kosovo Police Police officials are unacceptable.

“We strongly condemn the violent acts committed by armed persons in the northern part of Kosovo, including against the international community”, said in their response.

EULEX appeals to all to refrain from provocative actions.

Total notification of EULEX:

We confirm that a disorienting bomb (shok- bomb) has been thrown at a EULEX observer patrol last evening (10.12) in the vicinity of Rudare. No official of the EULEX Specialised Police Unit has been hurt or caused material damage.

This attack, as well as attacks on Kosovo police officials, is unacceptable. We strongly condemn the violent acts committed by armed men in the northern part of Kosovo, including against the international community.

EULEX will continue to work decisively to support Kosovo's stability under its mandate, as well as contribute to the safety of the population from all communities.

We appeal to all those responsible to refrain from other provocative actions, as well as appeal to Kosovo institutions for authors to bring to justice.
