“We are closely monitoring the security situation in the northern part of Kosovo through our increased presence on the ground”, said the modern media communique.
The Poland participants of our Specialised Police Unit and members of Italy and Lithuania from our Specialised Police Unit Reserve from the European Union of Gendarmerie are conducting observation patrols, including foot patrols in northern Mitrovica and Zvecan”.
EU RLEX said it acts in a conform situation on the ground and decides on its basis for the number of police officers there.
“Given the unstable security situation in the northern part of Kosovo and the deployment of additional barricades, EULEX regularly adapts its presence to reflect the situation on the ground, as well as in co-operation with the Kosovo Police and KFOR”.
