In an interview for Serbian television N1, Escobar has clarified that his statement of recent days that “Kosovo has security guarantees from US” is no threat to Serbia.
According to him, the same American guarantees apply to the Serbs in northern Mitrovica.
“We will allow one from Kosovo to endanger Serbia and security and stability in northern Kosovo”, he has declared.
He has reiterated that US “flatly refuses the Serbian Army's return to northern Kosovo”.
We should not militarize this crisis. This is no time to use the army. This is the time to use diplomacy, dialogue and compromise”, Escobar has added.
