In recent days at regional bells, the peak-time electricity price has reached over 400 euros for megawatts/hours.
This represents nearly 100 percent increase compared with the price of about 250 euros a week earlier.
This constant trend of the rising price of electricity that is coming along with weather cooling, according to forecasts by electromagnetic market experts, will likely be even higher during the coming days and weeks.
Electricity consumption in Kosovo has recently reached over 1100 megawatts/h, for which a considerable amount of electricity is needed to be imported in order to meet the demand.
The emergency situation we are in because of the energy crisis is getting more alarming because of the burden of the electromagnetic system in the country's large energy and affordable prices in the international bell.
KEDS/ KESCO has carried out a series of awareness campaigns, through which they have done and continue to appeal to consumers to save as much electricity as possible, especially in heating and finding other alternatives for heating and not electricity.
