Elections postponed in the North to April 2023

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has indicated that the decision to postpone elections has been made. She has said the elections will be held in April until the exact date is made public tomorrow. “We discussed the most appropriate date and time and finally with full consensus after my proposal [...]
“We discussed the most appropriate date and time and finally with full consensus, after my proposal we came to the conclusion that we should press for April 2023, and the exact date of April, tonight or further tomorrow morning, will be shown to the public”, the president of Kosovo has declared.
The first of the state has shown that the decision to postpone has come even after talks it has had with EU officials.
I'd like to inform you that I've had contact with EU institutions and that I'm told they won't participate in observation because of the short term. Given those assessments, the proposal was to postpone municipal elections. We've come to the conclusion of being postponed for April”, she told reporters.
Postponing elections comes after the tense situation in the northern Republic of Kosovo.
