The Public Procurement Commission has filed complaints with one of the participating operators who appears to have disagreed with the assessment made on the procedure. Polling is based on contractor authority in this case, Albanian Railway, but still no argumentation of the economic operator has been filed on the KPP page yet

. At an exit a few days ago, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluk said the tendering process was already closed and that it would be passed to another phase.

The procurement procedure contained in the “object The Fiscability and projective study for the Durres-Pristina railway connection” opened in the Public Procuration Agency system in mid-October with a 200m-euro limit fund, or about 1.7m euros.

The construction of the railway line (Pristina Framework) is of particular importance to Albania and Kosovo, as it will enable a rapid development of railway transport of travellers and goods. This new railway line will first meet the needs of Albania and Kosovo, as well as the needs of Western Balkan countries and beyond, including Montenegro, northern Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and other countries that are also linked to the Hekurudor X Corridor (December) and the Hekurudor Corridor. IV (four)” was said in terms of reference to the announced procedure.

The same document gives three reasons why this line is of particular importance, writes Monitor.al.

The previous “E is that through this line of exchange of goods transport between Albania, Kosovo and the wider region will be significantly increased due to lower costs and larger capacities; the second is related to the development of passenger railway transport, which will be very attractive and favourable for both countries and wider; while the third is that this railway line offers the best and most favourable alternative for the shortest connection of Albania's railway network, respectively, the railway corridor. V III (th) with the X (ten) railway corridor”, the document says.

The expected length of the study after signing the contract with a winning operator is 14 months, of which 2 (two) months for the Fillestry page and 12 (dwelfteen) months for the preparation of the study.
