Minister Gervalla says the EU has failed not only in this report, but has also proved since the 1990s it has never been able to find the necessary solutions to crises on its continent.
“The EU has failed not only in this report, but the EU has witnessed since the 1990s it has never been able to find the necessary solutions for crises on its continent. Of course, we are in a process of dialogue that is mediated by the EU and of course we in this process of dialogue are serious and we go with our recommendations, but we should be responsible that the EU as an institution without the assistance of US and member states is hardly going to find a way out of this dialogue that we have entered”.
I as foreign minister do not view the EU as the impartial EU towards Kosovo and Serbia. I can see that the requests put on the table have very powerful shades of Serbia and that there are very few of our requests involved in what is proposed at the table, but we don't go to Brussels to complain. We go to be part of the dialogue, and we believe that in its cadre with our legitimate demands, the conclusion will be that Kosovo will not only give up its sovereignty, or risk creating similar structures as in Bosnia, but we strongly believe that even with the support of our important partners, the epilogue will finally be in favour of the Republic of Kosovo”, Minister Gervala said.
Gervala, among other things, has spoken of the role of the United States of America for Kosovo.
We think we know our country, we know our needs, our requirements, and we know better what long-term solutions can be that they don't find a quick solution today by producing a big problem for the future. Therefore, not only with the United States but with all our partners who are guaranteed of our independence, we discuss among ourselves what are the best solutions and nothing more or less we don't do with the US”.
The upcoming US delegation to next week is again a sign that the United States does not leave Kosovo only close to challenges”, Grovall said. /Periscopi/
