On show “Good Morning Albanian” at Euronews Albania, Lala said that some of the symptoms of Shehu's psychosis disease are delusions, hallucinations, and behavioral disorder.
He was on medication. He did not take regular medication. We, unlike general medicine, have a special feature (ESM), testing mental status that is standard worldwide. The history of the past disease in a patient when we make a specific report doesn't change.
Examination of mental status does just that, what perception is, what is thought, what is it like, thinking whether there are dilemmas. The core of psychosis, the minimum is two of the following three symptoms of delusions, wrong beliefs, hallucinations, and most important behavioral disorder”, he stressed.
Gert Shehu, 31, attacked DP leader Sali Berisha's late Tuesday, while the latter was marching towards “Nation witnesses” to take part in the protest.
He punched Berisha in the face by bleeding. It was immediately stopped by Berisha's bodyguards, and already violated by DP supporters and sympathies.
Shehu was accompanied by police and is currently taking medication at Trauma Hospital, having facial injuries and nose fractures.
Officers have twice tried to question the young man, but because of his state of health, he has given no evidence so far.
The 31-year-old is suspected of suffering from mental health problems. Berisha has accused Rama of the event.
