Montenegro's President Milo Djukanovic signed the new amendments adopted in the Law for President.
He voiced confidence that there is a need for the inclusion of EU mediators in resolving the current political crisis in the country, reports EB.
According to Djukanovic, even though in the past years he opposed external interference in domestic political disputes, he now believes the situation requires EU assistance.
I think that the depth of the problems we are facing at this stage of political life in Montenegro, with such a arrogant disregard for the recommendations of relevant international institutions, it conditionedly to resolve them with the help of partners”Said Djukanovic.
He criticised the parliamentary majority for losing the opportunity to elect a government after the previous two governments lost parliamentary support and submitted to a vote of confidence.
Montenegrin President voiced distrust that the current parliamentary majority can resolve the institutional “vacum” and elect a government that will be able to handle the issues facing the country. He accused the parliamentary majority of unreliable and led by daily political interests.
“So I don't think such a majority can choose a government that would be able to solve the difficult problems in which the country is currently facing”There's Djukanovic.
