Republican-minded voters and Republicans gave the former President Trump's great blow to the egos in a survey conducted by USA Today and Suffolk University, which was released on Tuesday.
Another survey covering the same period of time, from Morning Consult, gave Trump 18 points ahead of DeSantis.
However, David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Centre, told USA Today: “Republicans and conservative independents want more and more Trumpism without Trumpin”.
This has been clear that it has played a role in the establishment of DeSantis, a former U.S. military coalition and the Congressman of the far-right, who has followed hard-line and potentially cruel policies as mayor of Florida, especially on immigration and education.
Last month, DeSantis scored convincing victory in the mayoral race.
Trump announced the third consecutive nomination for republic's presidential nomination shortly after mid-term elections.
But it has shown excessive momentum, especially since most candidates supporting Trump lost mid-term elections.
U n SA Today has said that its survey showed that among Republican voters and with republican trends, enthusiasm for another Trump's candidacy is shrinking.
