Officials have found that in addition to the store, the responsible person operates even with the production of alcoholic beverages without authorisation from Kosovo Customs, which is in conflict with the respective norms of the Customs Code and the Actis.
According to customs, the person also has no record of activity either as a business in the Agency for Business Recording and therefore disregards the requirements of reporting the relevant entity for monitoring wine productivity.
“Since the nature of this alleged act constitutes a criminal offence, Dogan has announced the State Prosecutor's decision on further actions. During the check, ready products with alcohol content have been encountered in the amount of some 42 thousand liters. The person in question has acted completely in disregard of the legal regulation and has done budget damage worth about 38 thousand euros only for part of the debt for the stock encountered during the check. This unregistered business that is not subject to even sanitation and sanitation is also a threat to consumer health”.
The same village operates two businesses authorised for similar products owned by Kosovo citizen ethnicity and pays all legal obligations. Illegal business action constitutes unfair competition against legitimate businesses”.
Kosovo's “Dogan has implemented the audit management and adequate procedures in full consensus with the person responsible and has not faced any kind of obstacle from local residents. The withdrawal of temporarily stopped goods takes time until goods are placed in adequate means of transport”.
Kosovo's “Dogana is the professional law enforcement institution and treats equally all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”.
“Control operations resulting in the findings of unsigned customs production processes have also encountered in other cities, such as Gjakova and even publicised the case of about 15 thousand liters of alcohol in October last year. (The post is found on Kosovo Customs Facebook page)”.
Kosovo's “Dogana will maintain its responsibilities in protecting society and demand that this goal serve all and that the actions of rule of the law not be violated, since in this way, in addition to enabling actions that cause budget and fair competition, consumers' health from unscathed production” is also at risk.
