Conjufca: We will allow Vicciqi through criminal gangs to command Kosovo

Kosovo Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca, after meeting his counterpart in Skopje, Talat Xhaferi, has stressed that the region is not immune to Russia's influences, and that is noted in Serbia's actions during the last days in Kosovo. Serbia's “Actions are unacceptable, they aim to destabilise and divide de-phacto [...]
Serbia's “Actions are unacceptable, they aim to destabilise and de-phacto division of the state of Kosovo. We, as a people, stand very united to fight these actions, which have both the geopolitical background Russian and powerful influence we will walk into the democratic state of Kosovo for rule of law and democracy on the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo. Kosovo is designated for resolving problems through dialogue”, it has stressed in Skopje, Konjufca, commenting on developments in Kosovo.
The situation in northern Kosovo ? The Serb-run residential area is tense, as some local Serbs there since December 10th set up barricades and blocked roads leading to border points with Serbia, Jarinje and Brnjak. These actions were taken after Kosovo Police arrested former members of this institution, Dejan Pantic, under suspicion of involvement in attacks against Central Election Commission officials in northern Kosovo and those police until the CEC was making preparations for local elections in northern municipalities: Leposaviq, Zvecan, Northern Mitrovica and Zubin Potok.
During the visit to Skopje, Konjufca has said that during this month Kosovo has taken two actions, which have been fully co-ordinated with the United States of America and with the European Union: reaching the agreement in Brussels on the license issue and delaying elections in northern Kosovo.
“Serbia, on the other hand, responded with the support of the exhibitors, who are at the helm of organised crime in that part of Kosovo, who take violent and armed action against the Kosovo Police and close the ways of international character through the deployment of illegal barricades”, has said Konjufca, recalling that “these exhibits are on the US blacklist and Great Britain”.
We will not allow that within Kosovo's territory, [Aleksandar] He was going to run through these gangs”, Conjufca declared.
On the US blacklist is Serbian List Vice President Milan Radoic, due to suspicion of involvement in international crime. Britain, meanwhile, has put it on the list of corruption-related sanctions.
The Serbian List of Serbs in Kosovo itself declared that Radicicic is the “barta of resistance” in the north.
Asked about the actions of official Pristina if the situation in the north is over, Konjufca has said Serbia's “goal is to overcome the situation, but Kosovo is to the contrary, so to reduce tensions.
The “currently is Serbia's turn to distance itself from these groups, which do illegal and criminal acts in the northern part of Kosovo. The international community should be more vocal in condemning these groups, which are directly from Belgrade and Belgrade, is not hiding this”.
So, officials, both municipalities and police who resigned from all Kosovo institutions, I am talking about the north of Kosovo, presented themselves at the joint press conference with Serbia's president, to show that their efforts are organised and orchestrated. So if you want to say who's responsible for this in that part of northern Kosovo, the answers are clear, because they're not even hiding this”, it's Conjufca saying.
He has indicated that Kosovo's “responsibility is for us to achieve security, implementation in the northern part of Kosovo, at the same time not to compromise the rule of law”.
As for Kosovo's reports with Northern Macedonia, Konjufca has stressed that the two countries share common strategic and geopolitical goals, aimed at EU integration.
Regarding the situation created in northern Kosovo, from the cabinet of the president of Northern Macedonia, President Stevo Pendarovski has said it is in constant communication with security services.
“As a NATO member that has its soldiers in the NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR regularly undergo analysis of aspects and security situations in Kosovo. At the moment, the assessment is that there is no need for calling the Security Council session”, notes the response of Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski's cabinet to Radio Free Europe.
Xhaferi: The sides act rationally
Northern Macedonia Speaker Talat Xhaferi has stressed that both sides -- Kosovo and Serbia -- should act rationally regarding the situation created in northern Kosovo.
“Outlines the competencies of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, guarantor of the sovereignty and integrity of the Republic of Kosovo through UN with mandate has been defined NATO, as a force which must ensure order, tranquillity and freedom of movement, as well as the functioning of the state of the Republic of Kosovo. We [Northern Macedonia], too, as an all-powerful member of NATO, are part of the NATO contingent in the Republic of Kosovo, and therefore obligations stemming from the mandate of NATO must ensure what they are mandated by UN Resolution”, Xhaferi stressed.
Meanwhile, Northern Macedonia Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi, in a post in his Facebook profile, has described the situation in northern Kosovo as disturbing. He has demanded that provocative actions and rhetoric be avoided by all sides.
Unacceptable circumstances aimed at destabilising and sponsoring the region's region and urgently being stopped through dialogue and rationality. Avoid provocative actions and rhetoric, strengthen the commitment to resolving conflicts between the two countries through mutual recognition, and mark common progress on the path to integration into the European Union”, Grubi has written.
