Citaku has added that, the PDK has joined consensus to postpone elections, as it alone does not want to run in the north.

It has ordered Government to be taken much more seriously by April.

“We have announced election candidacys in northern municipalities, because our participation would further encourage criminal groups and gangs. Today the president invited us to a consultative meeting to postpone the election date. What we want clearly is that Kosovo institutions, the Government has failed to create conditions for holding elections in the country. The PDK cannot enter the elections alone in the north, because it was the opinion of all parties that elections be postponed, and we joined this consensus”.

“From now until April when elections can be held, we ask the government and institutions, the Kosovo Police, the prime minister for the situation in the north to deal seriously. Very little can change the situation on the ground if the approach of Kosovo institutions does not change. We cannot surrender to criminal gangs. We realized today that Kosovo institutions are not ready. This is a failure. For the sake of consensus in the country we will participate in the April elections and ask Kosovo institutions for the situation in the north to deal seriously, not with Facebook keyboards”, Citaku has said.
