U.S.A.: Chinese fighter planes listen to American planes

A Chinese fighter plane has tapped an American plane over the South China Sea last week and carried out an insecure <x0-manoeuvre <xx1>, forcing the US aircraft to take action on the island, according to the Indo-Peace Command, command responsible for monitoring American military operations in the region. On December 21, a Chinese Navy fighter plane [...]
In response, the RC-135 had to make <x0vazi maneuvers to avoid a” crash, INDOPACOM said in a statement Thursday. RC-135 was in international airspace over the South China Sea and was legally conducting routine operations, said INDOPACOM
INDOPACOM's video of the incident shows J-11 flying near RC-135. As the two planes approached, a defence official said it was unlikely that the Chinese aircraft had maintained a secure visual divide from the largest and heavier American aircraft, which was watching its course and speed.
RC-135 later took evasive action to avoid a crash, leaving the Chinese plane.
Most aircraft interactions, including those between the US and China, are conducted in a safe and professional manner, the official said. But in cases such as this incident, the US responds through diplomatic and military channels through communication lines with Beijing. “We aim to do so in this case,” said the official.
China claims much of the South China Sea as part of its territorial waters, including many of the islands, some of which Beijing has militarized. The US does not recognise these territorial claims and conduct routine operations there, including navigational freedom operations across the South China Sea.
The US Joint Indo-Peace Force is dedicated to a free and open Indo-Peaceary region and will continue to fly, sail and operate in the sea and international airspace in view of the safety of all international vessels and planes under international law,” is said in the statement.
