China clears strict anti-Condavit restrictions following protests

China has withdrawn its most severe policies for Covid, including the obligation of people in quarantine camps just one week after historic protests against strict controls. People with Coddy can now be housebound rather than state objects if they have mild or no symptoms. They also do not [...]
People with Coddy can now be housebound rather than state objects if they have mild or no symptoms.
They also no longer need to show test results for most countries, though a test is needed PCR for schools and hospitals.
Citizens have expressed relief but also concerned about the unexpected changes.
“Finally! I won't worry anymore if I'm going to get infected or be taken away as close contact”, wrote a person on Chinese social networks.
Another said: “Can someone explain to me what's going on? Why is the change so sudden and so large?
The context of the changes shows that China is finally leaving its zero-Covid policy and is seeking to survive with the virus” as the rest of the world. This comes as the country faces the largest wave of infections over 30,000 per day.
Some internet users have questioned accelerated relief ) “medical system will be overloaded and many elderly people will be infected”, one user wrote.
But many others rejoiced at the release of a policy that had controlled their lives for nearly three years.
So far, China had forced people to go to quarantine camps. This policy had been deeply unpopular because it separated families and drove people out of their homes.
Videos throughout the year showed guards dragging people out of their homes, including viral images from Hangzhou last week showing a man who fought <x0...x1> with officials.
On Wednesday, the National Health Commission announced a range of other measures, including:
Limitations such as blockages must be implemented in more precisely identified areas, such as buildings, units, and floors, compared to blocks throughout the neighborhood or town.
High-risk identified areas must exit the impasse within five days unless new cases are found
Schools should stay open unless there is a wider explosion of campus.
