From childhood to resignation, the life of Pope Benedict XVI

Pope Benedict, who died today at the age of 95, was the first pope in 600 years to resign, leaving behind a Catholic church hit by sex abuse scandals immersed in mismanagement and polarised among conservatives and progressives, writes A2 CNN. Benedict was the first German Pope in 1,000 years, had good relations with his successor, Pope Francis, but his continued presence within the Vatican after he resigned in 2013 further polarised the church ideologically. Consumers alarmed by Francisco's progressive movements viewed Benedict as the guardian of tradition.
Joseph Ratzinger was an excellent theologian. He was considered one of the most prominent intellectuals of the past century. On April 19, 2005, he was elected Pope, 256th of the Catholic Church and seventh German national, and chose Benedict XVI. He came from an ordinary family, with a police father and a cook mother, who soon had to give up work devoted to her children.
He was born in Bavar on April 16, 1927. A refined theologian, a great scholar, a shy man, seemed not destined for a leading role of such size. Since the days of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith, he had become one of the main points of reference to the entire Church in the world.
Eight Years of the Pope
Anyone familiar with him reports of a great ability to hear that he preserved it even in the years following his resignation, where the Macter Ecclesia Monastery became a reference point to all who sought counsel, a word, or a blessing. Masters in the preaching work, even for the most complex topics, in almost eight years he met millions of people, made dozens of international trips, and in Italy, wrote a number of centrally loving and hopeful sonics. He resumed and renewed the social doctrine of the Church, making it more in line with the difficult times of the world, between globalisation and increasing poverty, relativism and furious calysity.
Publications
His numerous publications will remain in church history, beginning with “Jesus of Nazareth” in several volumes. A portrait to show that faith is, not a list of prohibitions, but, above all, a relationship with God. Benedict XVI, during its potential, has laid down the topics of poverty and Africa, young people, ecumenism, and world confidence are now secularized.
The Fight Against paedophilia
He was the first to wage a war against pedophilia in the Church. He was still a cardinal when in 2005, in the meditations of Via Crucis in Colosseum, he said bluntly: “How much uncleanness there is in the Church, even among those who, in the priesthood, must belong to it completely! He exerted himself against the paedophilia of the clergy, forcing the change in course of consciousness, church standards, and attitudes toward pedophile priests.
Years of Youth
Returning to its origin, after his first years in Marktl, he spent his teenage life in Traunstein; in the last months of World War II, he had been called to the antiaircraft relief service while ex ex ex ex ex autocio of Hitler Youth. A note that cost him a lot of accusations and criticism, despite being a perfectly normal “ ” condition for Germany in those difficult years.
