CEC Secretariat Chief Executive Chief Burim Ahmetaj has said they are awaiting the Kosovo Police Operational Plan in connection with the security of the CEC staff for the December 18th elections in four northern municipalities.
“We have accepted reports regarding tasks. The CEC has praised the legal steps that should be taken in this action. Following the appointment of four taskaries of municipal electoral commissions, the CEC has long submitted invitations, and by November 28th it formed four municipal commissions in the four northern municipalities. We sent the document to the MPB, the Kosovo Police and the Ministry of Education. You are aware that we accepted a letter from the Ministry of Education last week, while the MPB and the Kosovo Police refused any paperwork. We're in expectation of the operational police plan”, he said.
Chief Commissioner Kreshnik Radoniqi said that at today's meeting with the Kosovo Police, it is said tomorrow that they will go to the office with officials.
Member Sami Hamiti said conditions for elections are not being offered.
“They haven't created the conditions for us to hold elections. The situation is not in favour of keeping elections”, he has said.
