The Spanish High Representative of the European Union Josep Borell has stated last night that the proposal for the Kosovo-Serbia agreement now has the support of 27 member states.
At a media conference where the situation in northern Kosovo has called it dangerous and spoke of the possibility of the EU sending more troops, Borell has also spoken of what is known in the media as the “franko-German -- saying the document now has the support of 27 member states.
“We have offered the table a proposal for the two leaders of Serbia and Kosovo, and we have updated this proposal in recent weeks following the recent agreement allegedly to be the deal that puts tensions to the side of the plates and municipalities in northern Kosovo” said Borell.
He has recalled that the talks are based on the UN decision and that the EU is installing a task stemming from this organisation.
We've made this proposal and now we have to move forward urgently. I have informed the ministers of the challenge, and I am pleased with the strong support I received from all ministers for this initiative that is implementing a UN task, but now the proposal of 27 anautal countries has been made, not only my own proposal, but the proposal of 27 member states” has been made.
